Digital Art
Digital painting and digital drawing are the ultimate mixed media art, offering the artist exciting infinate possiblilities for self expression and creativity.
There are many ways an artist may use a painting program such as choosing to combine digital painting with photographic art work. They may choose to add real paint to canvas after completing and printing out a digital computer painting. The artist's tools are the computer, software drawing/painting programs, digital brushes, oil and watercolor paints that are just like the real thing! Some use just the mouse while others use a digital pen and tablet. Other items that artist's use are the photocopier, layers and photographic equipment to produce stunning pieces of art.
MicheleMowat.com shows some of the techniques used in traditional paintings in her digital paintings, such as the use of digital oil paints, digital charcoal drawing, digital pen and ink and photo collage/montage. Michele enjoy's the freedom of self expression, fun and relaxation of art and enjoy's sharing it with other people.
Photography
Taking the digital camera when travelling capturing fantastic shots of mountains, sunsets, flowers, architecture, animals and coastlines are used as inspiration for her artwork on MicheleMowat.com.
Graphics
Michele moved to Canberra in 2001, to take a position in internet advertising as a graphic artist.
Four years ago, the company started a tourism website www.GoSeeAustralia.com.au that Michele worked on and was very involved with. New ideas were brought to the tourism market that other market leaders had not thought of or implimented. As the website and the number of visitors to it grew, so did the number of staff and some well known personalities in the industry were employed for sales and marketing. A full time tourism editor was employed to write articles and answer questions in real time on the website. With everyone's dedication and efforts the success of the website has had such impact that overseas travel agents make bookings based on the information they research from the website. Go See Australia now has become a source of information and shares with the media and government bodies.
Michele continues working as required producing icons, banners, logos, buttons, cabin plan layouts and photographs.
